Comenius project 2009 - 2011

“Knowing me, you, us
 for a better chance on the European job market”

The participants to this project meeting will come seven corners of Europe.

        For the 3rd reunion of the Comenius project “Knowing me, you, us – for a better chance on the European job market”,  the Romanian  schools have on their agenda many educational activities and also cultural that will share here with other collegues and other institutions. 
      Technical College Mihail Sturdza and the Economical and Tourisme Vocational School Nr.3  joined their efforts in order to plan a very interesting and various agenda for the meeting. The students and teachers coming these days in Iasi will participate to cultural workshops where each partner will do a presentation with feedback on “our country, our region” -  a sum up of what we've have posted on the blog about each others cities, regions. A detailed presentation of  the photo gallery. Students will also present  a one-day itinerary in our regions. Sightseeing and virtual travelling around the seven countries involved in the project. 

         The Technical College Mihail Sturdza prepared its itierary around the beautiful city of Iasi, in the region filled  with traditions and costumes. On the blog of the T.C.M.S. http://ctmsis.blogspot.com/  you can see our virtual route.

      We choose to outside the city for our colleagues to admire the wonders of our countryside. The points of attraction in this virtual but also possible one day trip were:

Iasi – Tg. Frumos – Ruginoasa – Pascani – Tg. Neamt – Piatra Neamț - Bicaz - Poiana Teiului – Vatra Dornei – Campulung Moldovenesc – Gura Humorului – Suceava – Botosani –Harlau – Tg. Frumos – Iasi

      As the main theme of the project is about the European job market, students along with their teachers had to prepare before this reunion a research on their local job markets in order to identify  its  main characteristics such as sectors of production, main local agencies from which to gather information, partners of the school in finding work placements for students.

         The students participating in the Comenius project, from the Colegiul Tehnic Mihail Sturdza, had to focus on finding information about the profile of the job market, the demand and offer balance, the ratio of unemployment in the regions from where they come. They also have to prepare a set of questionnaires in order to write an European questionnaire of the job market.

      The students and teachers from the Technical College “Mihail Sturdza” started their research with the main provider of statistics, information and offers on this market: the Regional Employment Agency Workforce where we obtained information from the director of AJOFM, Mrs Vasilache Gabriela and an interview from the Director Ciprian Constantin Necula.

      In this presentation, students asked questions concerning the profile of the market in the area, if a higher degree can facilitate you a job, if students finishing a Vocational or Technical College find easier or harder to work  etc.
